JJ Richards and In Vitro technologies have supported the HRI since 2006 and have donated nearly half a million dollars towards the HRI’s life-saving research into cardiovascular disease during this time.
JJ Richards started in 1932 and has grown to be one of the largest privately owned waste management companies in Australia. It is still managed by the family of the founder, John Joseph Richards. Heart disease is a cause important to the Richards family, as it is to many Australians – affecting two out of every three Australian families.
We were delighted to visit JJ Richards’ head office in Brisbane and carry out checks for atrial fibrillation (a common heart condition characterised by an irregular heartbeat which can be a risk factor for stroke) for the staff there.
